BOOKING PROCESS
Q: How does the process of booking an artist work?
A: If you are pursuing a date with a particular artist you must do the
following:
- Talk to an agent to be informed of price, availability, etc.
- Submit a formal offer (see Offer Form)
- All offers must be approved by the artist's manager. No advertising, spreading by word of mouth, etc. can be done unless your offer is approved.
- Once an offer is approved, you will be issued formal contracts from our office
- Upon your receipt of the contracts, you are required to pay a 50% deposit.
- Contracts are to be signed and returned. Those contracts are sent to the manager to be signed. The manager returns contracts to us and we issue all parties a fully executed contract.
Q: How long will it take to get an answer on my offer?
A: We have no way of giving you an exact time frame to expect an answer. We will respond as quickly as each manager does.
Q: Where do I obtain promotional materials for my concert?
A: Most
of the time this information is contained in the artist's rider. It will usually
come from the record label or manager's office. We will supply you with a photo
and biography via e-mail or you will receive one with your contracts.
Q: May I schedule radio interviews or in-store appearances with the artist?
A: All interviews and in-store appearances must be approved in writing by the artist's
manager. If you have approval, these can be scheduled by contacting the
appropriate person listed in the artist's rider.
CONTRACTS AND DEPOSITS
Q: Which copies of the contract do I send back?
A: You should have received a cover letter with instructions
regarding your contracts. Please sign and return ALL 4 COPIES. You can make a
Xerox copy if you like. You will receive a fully executed copy once all parties
have signed off.
Q: Can I pay my 50% deposit with a personal check or company check?
A: No. All deposits must be paid by certified check or wire transfer.
Q: When is my 50% deposit due?
A: All deposits are due IMMEDIATELY upon receipt of
contracts.
BENEFITS/LOVE OFFERINGS
Q: Will your artists do benefit shows for a reduced rate?
A: Due to
the amount of requests we receive, our artists do not do reduced rate shows.
Q: Will your artists play for a love offering?
A: Our artists do not play for love
offerings. They each operate their ministry on clearly defined budgets.
PERMISSION TO USE SONGS
Q: Where do I get permission to use one of your artist's songs for worship, special
projects, etc?
A: We do not handle copyright licensing. Please contact the
copyright owner or publisher that is listed in the credits for that particular
song. It will often be the record label.
ARTIST VISITS OR DROP-INS
Q: I noticed that your artist is going to be close to my area on their tour. Is there anyway the artist could drop by
that afternoon and visit with my youth group, etc.?
A: The artists' travel
schedules are extremely busy and already planned down to the minute. There is no
time for extra stops on the way.
