There is no doubt that Sarah Silverman's star is definitely on the rise. From stand-up comedy to film and television, Sarah has seen her share of success. And things are only beginning for this talented young actress. She is also currently working on the film version of her on-woman show "Jesus is Magic" which sold out crowds in both New York and LA. The Los Angeles Times called "Jesus" "savagely effective, as ruthlessly provocative as anything since the heyday of Lenny Bruce." The feature length film will be distributed by Interscope records, and will film before a live crowd in Los Angeles in September of 2004. Silverman currently lends her voice to the hugely successful Comedy Central show, "Crank Yankers," now in its second season. She recently starred in "The School of Rock" for Paramount, opposite Jack Black, Mike White, and John Cusack. Sarah has guest starred in a slew of acclaimed and notable shows, such as "The Larry Sanders Show," "Seinfeld," "Mr. Show with Bob and David," "Star Trek Voyager" and "Jag." She also spent a one-year stint as a writer and featured player on "Saturday Night Live." As a comedian, Sarah progressed from open mic nights, to appearances on "The Late Show With David Letterman" and "Late Night With Conan O'Brien." She also co-starred on the FOX comedy "Greg The Bunny" opposite Eugene Levy. Sarah has also co-starred in a number of films, including the blockbuster "There's Something About Mary," "The Way of The Gun," Ivan Reitman's "Evolution," "The Bachelor," and "Say It Isn't So." Sarah grew up in New Hampshire and attended New York University. In 1993 she joined "Saturday Night Live" and has not stopped working ever since. Her talent as a writer has come in handy not only for television and stage, but also for witty and insightful essay work. As a result, Sarah's words have graced the pages of Esquire, Playboy and Penthouse. Sarah was also named to Maxim's "Hot 100" list for 2003, Entertainment Weekly's "IT" List for... More
